It would allow someone to connect with a network by adding sim card and data plan instead of using hotpot or cell phone. Used Sokkia 2700 isx gps base and rover. The rover is shown powered up in photos and base does power but I use an external battery for it didn't have one at house when took pictures.
The base also has an internal GM installed but I never used it. I personally have owned and used this set with my surveying company for the last 5 or 6 years. They have always worked great and been very dependable.
Overall condition is good and operational.
